Have answers ready for these popular interview questions:

Most importantly, sell yourself as a problem solver. Think about the work you have done, the job you had in college, volunteer work you did, or the club that you founded. Then proceed to illustrate how you solved a particular problem by breaking that experience into three parts:1)The problem you encountered,2)How you analyzed it, and 3)The solution you implemented.

The best thin you can do for your interviewers is to make his/her job easier. If interviewers walk out after talking to you feeling like they carried the weight of the conversation, which is a strike against you. But if your exchange leaves them with a feeling of,“Hey, I enjoyed that,” that could move you that much closer to hearing that you got the job.

First is the trap question, which comes up in almost every interview. The trap question is some variaton on“ What is the area you need most improvement in? ”or“ What is your area of weakness?” The real answer may be that you have are lousy to attention detail or that you are incredibly shy. Whatever you do, don’t share your personal weaknesses. Instead, try to find something to say that isn’t a real weakness,but a slightly less-than-ideal characteristic. For example: “I prefer to see a project through from start to finish rather than working on a single component and never seeing the finished product. I sometimes find it a bit frustrating to work without that overall context.”“ Sometimes I have a hard time saying no to people, and I end up taking on more than my share of work.” If you really can’t think of anything to say, you can always go with this time-tesed (albeit cliched) comeback: “I’m a perfectionist. I need to improve on not being so hard on myself and making sure I get everything right. ”

為何要離開你以前的公司

Be on the lookout for questions about why you left your old company and why you are interested in the new one. 一、你來這裡能幹什麼?

對這類咄咄逼人的難題,主試人提出其意圖有二:一是懷疑、不信任這位求職者的學歷、資歷或經驗並暗示不大可能錄用;二是有意出此難題,以誘使對方儘可能地表白自己,從而更深入瞭解此人。答問策略:

1先從心理上要穩住,別慌亂,彆氣餒,別急著辯白。

2應把這類難題當成進一步申明這職位適合你的種種條件和理由,即我到這裡能幹什麼工作。既要自信,又要實事求是。

3應聘前先要把自己的資歷與經驗和用人單位職位的條件一一分析清楚,列出種種適合的理由,這樣在答問時就會慷慨陳詞、條理井然了。

4不要長篇大論,能說清楚就夠了。

5態度要不卑不亢,不要一聽對方認為你幹不了,你就乞求對方。因為用人單位不會因可憐誰就錄用誰的。

二、你為什麼有興趣到這裡找工作?

用人單位對某些學歷、資歷比較高的求職者常提類似的問題,其意圖是:1怕這人將來"跳槽",工作不安心,把新工作當成一塊跳板。2進一步考驗這種人,看他們有沒有決心到這裡來踏實工作。3多用反問句、設問句的口氣提出,考察應聘者的態度變化。答問策略:

1應聘人聽到這類提問應該推斷出自己的條件還不錯,用人單位可能出於擔心自己不安心所致。所以要態度誠懇地指出有興趣來此的原因:

(a)專業對口;

(b)公司有發展;

(c)工作環境優越;

(d)聽朋友介紹這家公司的老闆是"伯樂";

(e)有更多到外國工作的機會;

(f)經常出差適合自己的興趣;

(g)離家近;

(h)福利待遇特別好,等等。(只需點出即可,不必大加渲染)

2以比較堅決的口氣表白自己如何喜歡這個部門並願為它效勞。

3別忙中出錯或言多語失。比如對方是一個臺灣人開的公司,你卻說:"我很希望為泰國的公司工作,泰國是一個美麗的發展中國家。"這會讓對方啼笑皆非的。

面試難題的應答策略 (下)

三、你自認為有什麼優缺點?

主試人想通過這一類問題的解答瞭解到: 1這個人能否對自己做出正確的估價。因為不能估計自己的人,往往也不會正確地評價自己的工作;2主試人最關注的是該人的缺點、弱點,如這方面的問題比較突出,那就不適合做某項工作。

答問策略:

1參加面試前,應對個人的優點缺點有所認識,必要時聽聽家人或朋友的評價。千萬不要一聽對方問這類問題就不知如何是好了。

2最忌諱的是無所謂的態度,比如:"我也沒什麼優點,也談不上什麼缺點,我這個人嘛,一般就是了!""誰還沒個缺點?我有是有,可是一下子也講不清楚,管它呢?quot;--這種回答,容易給人以玩世不恭的感覺,很難委以重要的職位。

3自己的優點、長處,缺點、短處都應老老實實地講,態度越是誠懇、真摯,對方越對你有好感,不一定會減少聘用的機會。

4會講話的人大都善於運用個人的優缺點把這篇大文章作好。下面,我們列出幾條,你看自己有沒有,又怎麼利用它巧妙地介紹自己:

對應聘有利的優點:

--好學習、肯鑽研。

--腦子好使,記憶力強。

--辦事認真,一絲不苟。

--有幹勁,不惜力。

--好相處,跟誰都合得來。

--有比較豐富的閱歷。

--喜歡接受挑戰性的課題。

--不交女友(男友)不成家。

對應聘有利的缺點:

--有名利思想:

(a)別人說我是個人主義、名利思想。

(b)別人認為我好出風頭,追求名利地位。

(c)沒名沒利的事,我不大樂意幹。(名利思想的另一面,是有所作為,不甘寂寞。只要認真對待,克服短處,可以從事開拓創新的工作。)

--急脾氣

(a)工作要是幹不好,我打心裡起急,非得幹好不成。

(b)誰要幹活投機取巧,我老跟人家發脾氣。

(c)遇到磨洋工的人,我就跟他急!

--有時主觀:

(a)別人要說服我,可不容易了,你擺不出事實、證據來,我還是堅持個人的主見。

(b)我不會讓人牽鼻子走,確實很主觀。

(c)我有時會跟同事爭,因為他們說服不了我,說我太主觀了。

--不拘小節:

(a)我這個人,大事頭腦清醒,可小事又不拘小節。

(b)我經常忽略一些小事,這是不細心的表現。

(c)您可別讓我處理瑣碎的事,我這人太不細心。(該人或許從事開拓性的工作較為合適。)

--摳門兒、吝嗇:

(a)時代變了,我還是一分錢掰兩半地花,招人討厭。

(b)別人跟我吵,很多時候是嫌我管錢太死,說我"摳門兒到家"了。我就是老改不了!(該人適合管理財務工作)。

(c)單位裡的年輕人給我起了一個難聽的外號:"吝嗇鬼",想來想去這是我的缺點。

--害羞、膽小:

(a)別人說我是"大姑娘",害羞,見不得大世面,只能幹些看攤的工作。(該人適合做文祕、打字員、保管員等工作)

(b)我這個人生來膽子小,別說違法的事,就連上班也不敢遲到,怕人家議論。

(c)許多事未經請示,我是絕對不敢幹的。膽小怕事嘛。(膽小,未必是弱點。有些工作交給膽大的人去幹,領導還真不放心呢。)

--不顧家:

(a)我這個人家庭觀念太差,幹起活來老是不顧家。

(b)我老婆老說我:"你呀,腦子裡只有公司,沒有公館(指住處)。""你乾脆住在公司算了。"所以,我不是一個好丈夫。

(c)我不是一個事業、家庭兩全的人物。腦子裡只有事業,哪還有家庭?大家都像我這樣可就麻煩了。

5在談及個人的優缺點時,最好以一種自我反省的語氣說才能給人以良好印象。

四、你善於與什麼人相處?

主試人是出於某些職位、行業的特殊需要才提出類似問題的。通過提問,瞭解該人能否與同事溝通營造良好的辦公環境,提高辦公效率,能否對外開啟局面,廣為結識顧客群,以便更好地完成調查、促銷等任務。答問策略:

1應聘者應以親切、輕鬆的語氣談論此類話題,給人以通達、開朗、熱情的印象。這印象本身就在說明你這個人很好相處。如果你的態度又拘謹、又嚴肅,倒證明你這個人不好相交。

2談及領導問題時應格外慎重。對領導,不存在你喜歡不喜歡的問題,因為你不喜歡,人家仍然是領導。所以應當從領導與被領導的關係上談論為好。

3老好人,好好先生--這種人跟誰都合得來。但某些行業(如警察、質檢員等)或某些職位,就不適宜這種人幹。所以談話時,要想到這一點。

4如果是剛畢業的大學生或是其他剛走出校門的學生,回答這種問題講些學校生活同學之間的交友事例就行了。

五、你為什麼經常想調動工作?

主試人提出這類可能令你感到難堪、尷尬的問題,其意圖有二:一是深入瞭解你申請新工作的內在動因,是嫌過去的工資低?還是本人能力差、表現不好而讓人辭退?還是生性好動,老是這山望著那山高,哪兒都呆不住、呆不長?等等。而這些恰恰是所有用人單位最討厭的地方。二是考察該人的工作態度和應變能力。答問策略:

1這類問題都是非常敏感的話題,答問時宜慎重思考、從容作答。

2問及為什麼"跳槽"時,不宜強調的理由有:

(a)市場不景氣,是隨大溜被辭退的(主試人會想:為什麼不把你留下來呢?);

(b)跟原單位的領導不和;

(c)想多掙錢;

(d)想找離家近點的地方,等等。這類回答易使用人單位覺得你不是最好的職工,弄不好你會故伎重演,所以要小心對待。

3問及為什麼"跳槽"時,比較有意思的理由(真有的話):

(a)能實現個人的抱負;

(b)有更大的機會獲得提升和發展;

(c)欣聞貴公司要擴充套件業務,想施展個人的才能以報效社會,等等。

What Are Your Weaknesses?

This is the most dreaded question of all. Handle it by minimizing your weakness and emphasizing your strengths. Stay away from personal qualities and concentrate on professional traits: “I am always working on improving my communication skills to be a more effective presenter. I recently joined Toastmasters, which I find very helpful.”

Why Should We Hire You?

Summarize your experiences: “With five years’ experience working in the financial industry and my proven record of saving the company money, I could make a big difference in your company. I’m confident I would be a great addition to your team.”

Why Do You Want to Work Here?

The interviewer is listening for an answer that indicates you’ve given this some thought and are not sending out resumes just because there is an opening. For example, “I’ve selected key companies whose mission statements are in line with my values, where I know I could be excited about what the company does, and this company is very high on my list of desirable choices.”

What Are Your Goals?

Sometimes it’s best to talk about short-term and intermediate goals rather than locking yourself into the distant future. For example, “My immediate goal is to get a job in a growth-oriented company. My long-term goal will depend on where the company goes. I hope to eventually grow into a position of responsibility.”

Why Did You Leave (Are You Leaving) Your Job?

If you’re unemployed, state your reason for leaving in a positive context: “I managed to survive two rounds of corporate downsizing, but the third round was a 20 percent reduction in the workforce, which included me.”

If you are employed, focus on what you want in your next job: “After two years, I made the decision to look for a company that is team-focused, where I can add my experience.”

When Were You Most Satisfied in Your Job?

The interviewer wants to know what motivates you. If you can relate an example of a job or project when you were excited, the interviewer will get an idea of your preferences. “I was very satisfied in my last job, because I worked directly with the customers and their problems; that is an important part of the job for me.”

What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can’t?

What makes you unique? This will take an assessment of your experiences, skills and traits. Summarize concisely: “I have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. This allows me to use my knowledge and break down inf rmation to be more user-friendly.”

What Are Three Positive Things Your Last Boss Would Say About You?

It’s time to pull out your old perf rmance appraisals and boss’s quotes. This is a great way to brag about yourself through someone else’s words: “My boss has told me that I am the best designer he has ever had. He knows he can rely on me, and he likes my sense of humor.”

What Salary Are You Seeking?

It is to your advantage if the employer tells you the range first. Prepare by knowing the going rate in your area, and your bottom line or walk-away point. One possible answer would be: “I am sure when the time comes, we can agree on a reasonable amount. In what range do you typically pay someone with my background?”

If You Were an Animal, Which One Would You Want to Be?

Interviewers use this type of psychological question to see if you can think quickly. If you answer “a bunny,” you will make a soft, passive impression. If you answer “a lion,” you will be seen as aggressive. What type of personality would it take to get the job done? What impression do you want to make?

面試:如何應對角色扮演的問題

角色扮演是各大外企招聘時經常採用的方式之一。回答這類問題的要點是應聘者一定要設身處地、把自己當作角色中的人物。另外,基於任何角色提出的問題根本的目的是要考察應聘者對公司的態度,所以在角色扮演時,要把自己想象成該角色,也要站在全公司的角度來考慮問題,所謂大處著眼、小處著手,方能立於不敗之地。

Case One

Interviewer: You are a director of our company and you are in charge of a project. There are six people in the project team. Due to different opinions, the team is split into two parts at a meeting and they are debating ferociously. At this time, as a leader, what will you do to coordinate the two parts? If the two parts disagree, what will you do then?

如果你已經成為我公司的一名主管,由你負責管理一個專案。在該專案的團隊中一共有六個人。在一次會議上,由於觀點不同,團隊分成兩派,,進行了激烈的爭論,這時,你作為領導者該如何協調?如果兩方不能達成共識,你又會怎麼辦?

Applicant: First, I will listen to both sides carefully, and make my own judgment. If I prefer one side, I will give facts and data to persuade the other side. If my opinion is between the two sides, I will also give facts and data to prove my opinion right. It is better that the two sides will agree on it. If not, I will stick to my opinion and allow the colleagues who keep reserved opinions to give more data and communicate with me. In short, my principle is that everything should be based on data and facts. Every colleague has the right to express his opinion. I will try my best to make all people agree on one thing. If I fail, I will make my decision, as a leader.

Case Two

Interviewer: You are now a team member and if your leader has made a decision but you don't quite agree with this decision and other members don't express any special opinions, what will you do?

如果你現在是一個專案的團隊成員,如果你的領導已經作出了一個決定,但你個人對這個決定不十分贊同,而其他的成員沒有表達特別的意見,那你會怎麼做?

Applicant: If my leader has made a decision, but I myself don't quite agree with this decision and other members don't express any special opinion, I will still express my opinion. If the leader doesn't agree with me, I will make my own judgment. If this decision isn't very important, then as a team member, I will act according to what the leader has decided. If this is a key decision, I will gather related information to support my view and try to persuade my leader.

如果我的領導已經做出了一個決定,但我個人對這個決定不十分贊同,而其他的成員沒有表達特別的意見,這時候問我仍然會提出我的意見。如果領導不同意,那我會做出自己的判斷。如果我們這個決定並不是十分重要的,那麼作為團隊成員,我會遵照領導的決定來執行;如果是一個關鍵的決定,我會蒐集相關的材料為我自己的觀點尋找支援,力求說服領導。

點評:雖然只是一個團隊成員,但該求職者仍然能夠大膽地提出自己地意見,並且能夠就問題做出理性的判斷,能夠讓面試官覺得該求職者是真正站在公司的立場上看待問題,並且體現了他處理問題的成熟性。

這個方法的好處是可讓求職者清楚瞭解該職位是否適合自己,而本身資料又是否切合要求,而且,明白了各項要求後,就可依據每一點在履歷表上重點提出自己在該方面的強項。突出賣點(selling point),將之放在最吸引別人的地方,使招聘者一眼可見,有利於present自己。

工作經驗的陳述

工作經驗是一份resume中令招聘者相當感興趣的一項內容,善加措詞是必不可忽視的要務。

剛畢業,何來工作經驗?其實,客下讀書時的兼職、實習、實踐,以至所曾參加的一些課外活動-協助助出版學校刊物、舉辦活動,展覽、宣傳……都可算是工作經驗、不過,表達起來要有針對性地展開,列出那些與所找工作有關連的專案重點介紹,必要時更可使用summary的方式,給招聘者深入的瞭解。

Job Objective通常,一般求者只會在履歷表開端簡單地寫上所應徵的職位-"Position Applied: Management Trainee"或"I am appling for……"其實,若懂得利用這小小空間寫出自己的事業目標(job objective),能顯示出你對該工作的熱誠及憧憬,能令招聘者對你加倍留意。

Here are good answers to some of the tougher questions asked in job interviews. If you can smoothly supply answers like these during the interview, you are bound to make a good impression.

1. What is important to you in a job?

Mention specific rewards other than a paycheck for example, challenge, the feeling of accomplishment, and knowing that you have made a contribution.

2. Why do you want to work for this organization?

Cite its reputation, the opportunities it offers, and the working conditions. Stress that you want to work for this organization, not just any organization.

3. Why should we employ you?

Point to your academic preparation, job skills, and enthusiasm about working for the firm. Mention your performance in school or previous employment as evidence of your ability to learn and to become productive quickly. If the job involves management responsibilities, refer to past activities as proof of your ability to get along with others and to work as part of a team.

4. If we hire you, how long will you stay with us?

Answer by saying along these lines: "As long as my position here allows me to learn and to advance at a pace with my abilities."

5. Can we offer you a career path?

Reply: "I believe you could, once I know the normal progression within the organization. Can you tell me about it?" The answer may be revealing.

6. What are your greatest strengths?

Give a response like one of the following: "I can see what needs to be done and do it", "I'm wiling to make decisions", "I work well with others," "I can organize my time efficiently."

7. What are you greatest weakness?

Discuss the things you didn't like, but avoid making slighting reference to any of your former employers.

Mention a cross section of interests-active and quiet, social and solitary -- rather just one.

10. Are there any weaknesses in your education or experience?

Take stock of your weaknesses before the interview. Practice discussing them in a positive light. You'll find that they are minor when discussed along with all the positive things you have to offer.

11. Where do you want to be five years from now?

Saying that you'd like to be president is unrealistic, yet few employers want people who are content to sit still. You might say, "in five years, I'd like to have my boss's job. " If you can't qualify for your boss's job by then, you may not be the fright candidate.

If you are asked this at the outset, it's best to say, "Why don't we discuss salary after you decide whether I'm right for the job? "But if the interviewer asks this after showing real interest in you, speak up. She or he will probably try to meet your price. 13. What would you do if....?

This question is designed to test your reposes. For example: "What would you do if your computer broke down during an audit?" Your answer there isn't nearly so important as your approach to the problem. And a calm approach is best. Start by saying, "One thing I might do is ..." Then give several alternative choices.

14. What type of position are you interested in?

Job titles and responsibilities vary from firm to firm . So state your skills instead, such as "I'm good at figure work," and the positions that require these skills , such as "accounts payable."

15. Tell me something about yourself.

Say you'll be happy to talk about yourself, and ask what the interviewer wants to know. If this point is clarified, respond. If not, tell why you feel your skills will contribute to the job and the organization. This question gives you a great opportunity to sell yourself.

The best thin you can do for your interviewers is to make his/her job easier. If interviewers walk out after talking to you feeling like they carried the weight of the conversation, which is a strike against you. But if your exchange leaves them with a feeling of,“Hey, I enjoyed that,” that could move you that much closer to hearing that you got the job.

First is the trap question, which comes up in almost every interview. The trap question is some variaton on“ What is the area you need most improvement in? ”or“ What is your area of weakness?” The real answer may be that you have are lousy to attention detail or that you are incredibly shy. Whatever you do, don’t share your personal weaknesses. Instead, try to find something to say that isn’t a real weakness,but a slightly less-than-ideal characteristic. For example: “I prefer to see a project through from start to finish rather than working on a single component and never seeing the finished product. I sometimes find it a bit frustrating to work without that overall context.”“ Sometimes I have a hard time saying no to people, and I end up taking on more than my share of work.” If you really can’t think of anything to say, you can always go with this time-tesed (albeit cliched) comeback: “I’m a perfectionist. I need to improve on not being so hard on myself and making sure I get everything right. ”

為何要離開你以前的公司

一、你來這裡能幹什麼?

對這類咄咄逼人的難題,主試人提出其意圖有二:一是懷疑、不信任這位求職者的學歷、資歷或經驗並暗示不大可能錄用;二是有意出此難題,以誘使對方儘可能地表白自己,從而更深入瞭解此人。答問策略:

1先從心理上要穩住,別慌亂,彆氣餒,別急著辯白。

2應把這類難題當成進一步申明這職位適合你的種種條件和理由,即我到這裡能幹什麼工作。既要自信,又要實事求是。

3應聘前先要把自己的資歷與經驗和用人單位職位的條件一一分析清楚,列出種種適合的理由,這樣在答問時就會慷慨陳詞、條理井然了。

4不要長篇大論,能說清楚就夠了。

5態度要不卑不亢,不要一聽對方認為你幹不了,你就乞求對方。因為用人單位不會因可憐誰就錄用誰的。

二、你為什麼有興趣到這裡找工作?

用人單位對某些學歷、資歷比較高的求職者常提類似的問題,其意圖是:1怕這人將來"跳槽",工作不安心,把新工作當成一塊跳板。2進一步考驗這種人,看他們有沒有決心到這裡來踏實工作。3多用反問句、設問句的口氣提出,考察應聘者的態度變化。答問策略:

1應聘人聽到這類提問應該推斷出自己的條件還不錯,用人單位可能出於擔心自己不安心所致。所以要態度誠懇地指出有興趣來此的原因:

(a)專業對口;

(b)公司有發展;

(c)工作環境優越;

(d)聽朋友介紹這家公司的老闆是"伯樂";

(e)有更多到外國工作的機會;

(f)經常出差適合自己的興趣;

(g)離家近;

(h)福利待遇特別好,等等。(只需點出即可,不必大加渲染)

2以比較堅決的口氣表白自己如何喜歡這個部門並願為它效勞。

3別忙中出錯或言多語失。比如對方是一個臺灣人開的公司,你卻說:"我很希望為泰國的公司工作,泰國是一個美麗的發展中國家。"這會讓對方啼笑皆非的。

面試難題的應答策略 (下)

三、你自認為有什麼優缺點?

主試人想通過這一類問題的解答瞭解到: 1這個人能否對自己做出正確的估價。因為不能估計自己的人,往往也不會正確地評價自己的工作;2主試人最關注的是該人的缺點、弱點,如這方面的問題比較突出,那就不適合做某項工作。

答問策略:

1參加面試前,應對個人的優點缺點有所認識,必要時聽聽家人或朋友的評價。千萬不要一聽對方問這類問題就不知如何是好了。

2最忌諱的是無所謂的態度,比如:"我也沒什麼優點,也談不上什麼缺點,我這個人嘛,一般就是了!""誰還沒個缺點?我有是有,可是一下子也講不清楚,管它呢?quot;--這種回答,容易給人以玩世不恭的感覺,很難委以重要的職位。

3自己的優點、長處,缺點、短處都應老老實實地講,態度越是誠懇、真摯,對方越對你有好感,不一定會減少聘用的機會。

4會講話的人大都善於運用個人的優缺點把這篇大文章作好。下面,我們列出幾條,你看自己有沒有,又怎麼利用它巧妙地介紹自己:

對應聘有利的優點:

--好學習、肯鑽研。

--腦子好使,記憶力強。

--辦事認真,一絲不苟。

--有幹勁,不惜力。

--好相處,跟誰都合得來。

--有比較豐富的閱歷。

--喜歡接受挑戰性的課題。

--不交女友(男友)不成家。

對應聘有利的缺點:

--有名利思想:

(a)別人說我是個人主義、名利思想。

(b)別人認為我好出風頭,追求名利地位。

(c)沒名沒利的事,我不大樂意幹。(名利思想的另一面,是有所作為,不甘寂寞。只要認真對待,克服短處,可以從事開拓創新的工作。)

--急脾氣

(a)工作要是幹不好,我打心裡起急,非得幹好不成。

(b)誰要幹活投機取巧,我老跟人家發脾氣。

(c)遇到磨洋工的人,我就跟他急!

--有時主觀:

(a)別人要說服我,可不容易了,你擺不出事實、證據來,我還是堅持個人的主見。

(b)我不會讓人牽鼻子走,確實很主觀。

(c)我有時會跟同事爭,因為他們說服不了我,說我太主觀了。

--不拘小節:

(a)我這個人,大事頭腦清醒,可小事又不拘小節。

(b)我經常忽略一些小事,這是不細心的表現。

(c)您可別讓我處理瑣碎的事,我這人太不細心。(該人或許從事開拓性的工作較為合適。)

--摳門兒、吝嗇:

(a)時代變了,我還是一分錢掰兩半地花,招人討厭。

(b)別人跟我吵,很多時候是嫌我管錢太死,說我"摳門兒到家"了。我就是老改不了!(該人適合管理財務工作)。

(c)單位裡的年輕人給我起了一個難聽的外號:"吝嗇鬼",想來想去這是我的缺點。

--害羞、膽小:

(a)別人說我是"大姑娘",害羞,見不得大世面,只能幹些看攤的工作。(該人適合做文祕、打字員、保管員等工作)

(b)我這個人生來膽子小,別說違法的事,就連上班也不敢遲到,怕人家議論。

(c)許多事未經請示,我是絕對不敢幹的。膽小怕事嘛。(膽小,未必是弱點。有些工作交給膽大的人去幹,領導還真不放心呢。)

--不顧家:

(a)我這個人家庭觀念太差,幹起活來老是不顧家。

(b)我老婆老說我:"你呀,腦子裡只有公司,沒有公館(指住處)。""你乾脆住在公司算了。"所以,我不是一個好丈夫。

(c)我不是一個事業、家庭兩全的人物。腦子裡只有事業,哪還有家庭?大家都像我這樣可就麻煩了。

5在談及個人的優缺點時,最好以一種自我反省的語氣說才能給人以良好印象。

四、你善於與什麼人相處?

主試人是出於某些職位、行業的特殊需要才提出類似問題的。通過提問,瞭解該人能否與同事溝通營造良好的辦公環境,提高辦公效率,能否對外開啟局面,廣為結識顧客群,以便更好地完成調查、促銷等任務。答問策略:

1應聘者應以親切、輕鬆的語氣談論此類話題,給人以通達、開朗、熱情的印象。這印象本身就在說明你這個人很好相處。如果你的態度又拘謹、又嚴肅,倒證明你這個人不好相交。

2談及領導問題時應格外慎重。對領導,不存在你喜歡不喜歡的問題,因為你不喜歡,人家仍然是領導。所以應當從領導與被領導的關係上談論為好。

3老好人,好好先生--這種人跟誰都合得來。但某些行業(如警察、質檢員等)或某些職位,就不適宜這種人幹。所以談話時,要想到這一點。

4如果是剛畢業的大學生或是其他剛走出校門的學生,回答這種問題講些學校生活同學之間的交友事例就行了。

五、你為什麼經常想調動工作?

主試人提出這類可能令你感到難堪、尷尬的問題,其意圖有二:一是深入瞭解你申請新工作的內在動因,是嫌過去的工資低?還是本人能力差、表現不好而讓人辭退?還是生性好動,老是這山望著那山高,哪兒都呆不住、呆不長?等等。而這些恰恰是所有用人單位最討厭的地方。二是考察該人的工作態度和應變能力。答問策略:

1這類問題都是非常敏感的話題,答問時宜慎重思考、從容作答。

2問及為什麼"跳槽"時,不宜強調的理由有:

(a)市場不景氣,是隨大溜被辭退的(主試人會想:為什麼不把你留下來呢?);

(b)跟原單位的領導不和;

(c)想多掙錢;

(d)想找離家近點的地方,等等。這類回答易使用人單位覺得你不是最好的職工,弄不好你會故伎重演,所以要小心對待。

3問及為什麼"跳槽"時,比較有意思的理由(真有的話):

(a)能實現個人的抱負;

(b)有更大的機會獲得提升和發展;

(c)欣聞貴公司要擴充套件業務,想施展個人的才能以報效社會,等等。

What Are Your Weaknesses?

This is the most dreaded question of all. Handle it by minimizing your weakness and emphasizing your strengths. Stay away from personal qualities and concentrate on professional traits: “I am always working on improving my communication skills to be a more effective presenter. I recently joined Toastmasters, which I find very helpful.”

Why Should We Hire You?

Summarize your experiences: “With five years’ experience working in the financial industry and my proven record of saving the company money, I could make a big difference in your company. I’m confident I would be a great addition to your team.”

Why Do You Want to Work Here?

The interviewer is listening for an answer that indicates you’ve given this some thought and are not sending out resumes just because there is an opening. For example, “I’ve selected key companies whose mission statements are in line with my values, where I know I could be excited about what the company does, and this company is very high on my list of desirable choices.”

What Are Your Goals?

Sometimes it’s best to talk about short-term and intermediate goals rather than locking yourself into the distant future. For example, “My immediate goal is to get a job in a growth-oriented company. My long-term goal will depend on where the company goes. I hope to eventually grow into a position of responsibility.”

Why Did You Leave (Are You Leaving) Your Job?

If you’re unemployed, state your reason for leaving in a positive context: “I managed to survive two rounds of corporate downsizing, but the third round was a 20 percent reduction in the workforce, which included me.”

If you are employed, focus on what you want in your next job: “After two years, I made the decision to look for a company that is team-focused, where I can add my experience.”

When Were You Most Satisfied in Your Job?

The interviewer wants to know what motivates you. If you can relate an example of a job or project when you were excited, the interviewer will get an idea of your preferences. “I was very satisfied in my last job, because I worked directly with the customers and their problems; that is an important part of the job for me.”

What Can You Do for Us That Other Candidates Can’t?

What makes you unique? This will take an assessment of your experiences, skills and traits. Summarize concisely: “I have a unique combination of strong technical skills, and the ability to build strong customer relationships. This allows me to use my knowledge and break down information to be more user-friendly.”

What Are Three Positive Things Your Last Boss Would Say About You?

It’s time to pull out your old performance appraisals and boss’s quotes. This is a great way to brag about yourself through someone else’s words: “My boss has told me that I am the best designer he has ever had. He knows he can rely on me, and he likes my sense of humor.”

What Salary Are You Seeking?

It is to your advantage if the employer tells you the range first. Prepare by knowing the going rate in your area, and your bottom line or walk-away point. One possible answer would be: “I am sure when the time comes, we can agree on a reasonable amount. In what range do you typically pay someone with my background?”

If You Were an Animal, Which One Would You Want to Be?

Interviewers use this type of psychological question to see if you can think quickly. If you answer “a bunny,” you will make a soft, passive impression. If you answer “a lion,” you will be seen as aggressive. What type of personality would it take to get the job done? What impression do you want to make?

英文簡歷不完全攻略

經常看到有人發翻譯簡歷的貼子。其實我個人認為簡歷的翻譯並沒有定式,可自由發揮。但是有一個原則關係到別人看了你的英文簡歷後對你的英文水平的第一印象,那就是簡歷中地用詞,句子,表達方式等一定要地道。也就是說不能帶有太多的所謂中式英語,讓別人一看就覺得很不爽。

最近我有幸得到一些老外(包括非英語國家)的簡歷,看了以後頗有收穫,拿來共享心得。題目雖然是《完全攻略》,但時間倉促,難免有理解錯誤,或者不完整的地方還希望大家指正,補充。總的來說,看完這些英文簡歷給我的感覺是:與其把中文簡歷翻譯成英文,還不如用英文再寫一個簡歷。這樣完全按照英文的思維方式和習慣作為出發點寫出的簡歷才會更地道。

一、簡歷的結構

首先,整個簡歷要分成若干部分:基本情況、自我介紹、教育經歷、工作經歷等等。這些部分如何分完全憑自己掌握。但是有些不內容是必不可少的。下面就列出我在這些簡歷上看到的欄目:

我注意到大部分簡歷的最上方(標題的位置)都是求職者的姓名和聯絡方式。也有某些簡歷用名字作為標題,然後下面的位置寫上了自己的求職意向或者聯絡方式。而有些則是把聯絡方式做成頁首的效果。和這種方式能讓閱讀者對此人的姓名聯絡方式和求職意向一目瞭然,可以提高效率,並且對求職者有比較深刻的印象。由此可見她們的共同點是:大多以姓名作為大標題,然後再顯眼的地方註明聯絡方式和求職意向。

接下來算是簡歷的正文。所有的簡歷都把教育經歷放在首位。看來教育背景還是對方關注的首要問題。教育背景是按照時間倒序排列的,最近的放在最上面。有的是時間寫在前面,緊跟學校、專業作為條目的標題,或者把學校、專業放前面,後面跟時間。標題下面是具體的介紹。

然後是工作經歷,格式和教育背景基本一致。某些簡歷在教育背景和工作經歷之間還加上了學過的和專業相關的課程,培訓班等。而在工經理後面還可以加上參加過的志願者工作等。

以上是簡歷中的重頭戲。接下來的內容大多是自己掌握的技能,語言能力和計算機能力。有時還有個人愛好等更全面介紹自己的內容。

二、簡歷的用詞翻譯

下面列出一些中英文對照(有的地方可以用多個英文單詞表示,用 '|' 隔開,這裡列出的只是簡歷中出現的,也許並不僅限於這些):

求職意向 ------- Objective

Objective這個詞在電腦遊戲中出現的頻率很高。一般是作為每關之前的任務介紹。直譯就是目標、目的。如果有Objective,一般放在正文的第一欄。

教育背景 --------Education | Education and Qualifications

都用這個,background就不要加上了,有點中式英語的嫌疑。如果包含了一些認證培訓之類的,可以寫成 Education and Qualifications.

個人介紹、自我評價 -------- PERSONALITY HIGHLIGHTS | SYNOPSIS

SYNOPSIS這個詞比較籠統,內容可以自由些,包括個人性格,目前狀況等。

PERSONALITY HIGHLIGHTS 偏重於介紹自己的優勢、優點等。

工作經歷 ---------- Experience | Work(ing) Experience | JOB EXPERIENCE | EMPLOYMENT EXPERIENCE

這些都是大同小異。也有個人用 EMPLOYMENT HIGHLIGHTS。

我注意到有個人在Work Experience 的位置用了 Research Experience, 再細看內容才發現此人的經歷都是研究性質的工作,包括在大學期間從事的一些研究。

參加過的活動(包括校內) -------------- ACTIVITIES

ACTIVITIES最普遍,所有的活動都包括了,比較好用。

Campus Involvement & Activities 這裡加上compus 那就僅限於在學校的。這裡的 Involvement 我猜想指的是參加社團或者某個組織的這種長期的活動。而Activities則不限。

榮譽、獎勵 -------- Honors | Awards

有些乾脆就用 Honors & Awards

剩下的一些

技能 ---- Skills | Additional Skills

愛好 ----- HOBBIES

計算機技能 ------ Computer Skills 也可以作為Skills的一部分。

志願者經歷 ----- VOLUNTEERING

接下來介紹一下具體內容的翻譯。

流利使用某種語言: Fluent in XXX

普通話: Mandarin Chinese

熟悉......:Familiar with....

精通.... :proficient with | Advanced Skills in.... | Advanced Software User: (列出精通使用的軟體名稱)

個人、人: individual (注意不要用person什麼的)

關於語言能力的: Daily Spoken (經常使用的), Training Obtained(受過培訓的---我想不僅限於語言能力)

三、總結

這些簡歷給我的最大感受是,簡練。沒有廢話,有些地方甚至省略掉主語例如: Activities: President of College Democrats,中文簡歷中一般會說“曾擔任校學生會主席”,而你要死板的翻譯成英文就很羅嗦:“ I've been the President of the Students' Union of the college” ,不如就說 “President of the Students' Union ”,能簡單儘量簡單,至於是校學生會,還是系學生會不必在乎,再說真的在乎的話面試的時候有機會的。而且語言簡練不容易出錯,何樂而不為。

在碰到一些不太好翻譯的詞彙時,不用著急,可以自己創造,只要能正確表達出中文詞彙的含義即可。畢竟兩種語言之間不是對映表的關係。

我看到一份簡歷在Education後面還加上了,Double Majors 和 Higher Level Course Work, 這樣把突出的教育經歷或者工作經歷單獨列出來,容易引起關注,是個好方法。

總之,要做到簡練,結構清楚,表達明確,不出現錯誤,就是一個合格的英文簡歷。

英文求職信七步寫作法

求職信分為推薦信和自薦信兩種,它是書面表達的重要體裁之一,也是大學聯考書面表達的熱點內容。寫求職信可按下列七個步驟進行。下面舉例說明:

假設你叫李平,你從報上得知某公司欲招聘一名英語翻譯,請你給該公司經理寫一份求職信,你的個人資料如下:
